One of Taif's most important historical structures, Al-Kaaki Palace, was built in 1939 and got its name from the family who lived there. It was designed by Muhammad Othman Al-Qurashi, who drew design cues from both Ottoman and Roman structures.

This palace in At-Taif is a center for culture, a noteworthy national landmark, and a previous home. It is now a popular destination for young photographers and history enthusiasts due to its extraordinary beauty.

Visitors are dazzled by the expansive and opulent marble flooring and columns, which reflect the outstanding architectural style of the time.

Highlights:

  • The palace is a 1,275 square meter structure found in the Al-Salamah neighborhood. There are six kitchens, ten baths, and 40 rooms on its three floors. It contains stone columns on each level from the first to the third that have been skillfully carved into lovely shapes.
  • The palace, built of stone, is a beautiful example of architecture that combines Islamic and Roman components with mostly traditional Hijazi techniques from the past. Beautiful plaster embellishments of various sizes and forms adorn the building.
  • The palace is surrounded by orchards of fruits, vegetables, and roses. Additionally, it has a well that provides the palace with fresh water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene purposes.
  • The rectangular marble window frames have hand-carved motifs, and in addition to the main gate, two other entrances are wonderfully embellished with arches and columns.
  • Its walls were built of white pebbles and granite excavated from Taif's mountains.
  • This architectural marvel's distinctive details and ornaments maintain its distinctly Hijazi appearance.
  • Even though the treasure is currently closed, the ornately carved windows and doors can be appreciated from the outside.
